Current work

DHL eCommerce

I work 2–3 days per week as a delivery driver, “Bezorger B”, for DHL eCommerce in Sommelsdijk.

My work includes sorting parcels, planning vehicle capacity, loading and organising the van, handling heavy shipments, navigating efficiently, and helping people with special delivery requests.

The role has strengthened my stress resistance, route memory, time management, and driving efficiency. I know virtually every street and address on Goeree-Overflakkee and stay calm under heavy workload pressure.

Previous work

Albert Heijn

Before DHL, I worked as a cashier at Albert Heijn and was later promoted to shift leader.

This involved customer support, daily cash counting, filling out Excel sheets, basic low-level management, and helping keep the store running during shifts.

Political work

ROOD Rotterdam

As Organisational Secretary for ROOD Rotterdam, I coordinate internal communication, create meeting agendas, write detailed minutes, and help maintain organisational structure.

I also design flyers, help organise demonstrations, coordinate with FNV, and assisted in organising support structures around DHL strike actions.

Infrastructure project

self-hosting
Personal infrastructure I independently built and maintain a self-hosted server infrastructure for cloud storage, photo hosting, media streaming, websites, backups, and game hosting. The system runs on a repurposed Dell OptiPlex 7020 SFF with enterprise SAS drives, automated backups, self-hosted services, and custom hardware solutions. Built partly out of practicality, partly out of privacy concerns, and partly because I enjoy solving difficult infrastructure problems with limited resources. See more on the infrastructure page.
